What is the Law, and what changes can we expect?
The law is created by the Department of Health, and adopted by Salt Lake City.
There are a variety of changes you can expect and the Easiest way to see them is to look at the Proposed law. This version has strikeouts where ever a law has been changed, and alows you to easily see the specifics of the newly proposed ordinances.

Examples of Changes proposed:
- Garbage collection is not allowed between the hours of 10pm and 7am within 800 feet of a residence (An improvement of 500 feet -- this is NOW longer than a city block)
- You cannot Load or Unload Equipment or Containers between 10pm and 7am within 800 feet of a dwelling.
- Power Equipment cannot be used between the hours of 10pm and 7am within 800 feet of a residence. (this improvement includes Lawn equipment, Snow removal equipment, power washers, vaccumes, and more.)
- Snow Removal. No person shall operate, nor shall any person cause, allow,
permit, or fail to control the operation of any snow removal equipment or conduct any snow removal activities within 800 feet of a dwelling or within a noise sensitive area between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following morning. (This wasn't so clearly specified as it might be now--this will include the plow attachment on a truck---though NOT city trucks.)
